Autel Chrysler 12+8 Cable Adaptor

For 2018 and newer Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep, and Fiat vehicles, a secure gateway module (SGM) is now installed. This SGM prevents scan tools from performing bidirectional controls on the vehicle. Autel has introduced a cable designed to bypass the SGM.

The new Chrysler 12+8 Diagnostic Cable enables communication with late-model Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Fiat, and Alfa Romeo vehicles.

Suitable for:

The 12+8 Adapter connects to the Autel MaxiSys VCI.
The Cable Adapter can be used with Autel Maxisys Series Scanners MS906BT+ like MS906BT, MS906S, MS908, MS908S, MS908S PRO, Maxisys Elite

What is it used for?

1. Designed for use with Autel MaxiSys scanners to perform diagnostics on Chrysler, Jeep Renegade, Wrangler, and 300C models from 2018 onward.

2. Most FCA vehicles from 2018 and newer are equipped with a Security Gateway Module.

When scanning a Chrysler equipped with the Security Gateway Module, the following message is typically displayed:
DEVICE UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE CONTROL UNIT

The location of the SGM varies, but it is often found in the side kick panel, on the passenger side near the glove box, or behind the radio.

Please Note:
The appropriate converter must be used. Returns due to damage caused by using the wrong power type will not be accepted.
