The analog ignition switch simulates the vehicle's ignition function on the bench. When the ING ignition switch is pressed, the ING12V line outputs 12V — mimicking the ignition-on state. This is particularly useful because certain programming devices prompt the technician to turn the ignition on or off at specific points during the ECU reading or programming process, and the analog switch allows this to be done conveniently without a physical vehicle ignition system.
