VVDI RKE BOX Remote Control Switching Box Supports 6V/9V/12V
The Xhorse VVDI RKE BOX is used in the following situations:
- Converting an original straight key remote into a folding key remote
- Adding a temporary remote control when no programming method or tool is available
- Providing a temporary replacement when the original remote is out of stock
- Supporting vehicles that originally have only one remote control (such as Chinese brands, Besturn, etc.)
- Offering a low-cost alternative to expensive original remote controls
- The VVDI RKE BOX Remote Control Switching Box supports 6V / 9V / 12V remote controls.
1. Power Options
- By default, the box supports 3V remote controls without any soldering.
- To use 6V, 9V, or 12V remote controls, open the main box and select the corresponding solder joints as shown in the reference image.
- Example:
To connect a 6V remote control, only the 6V solder joints should be connected.
Important: Do not connect multiple voltage joints at the same time.

2. Wiring Instructions
Remove the circuit board from the original remote control.
Connect it to the main unit according to the wiring diagram:
- White wire → Button signal
- Red wire → Positive (+)
- Black wire → Negative (–)
Remote Button Types
There are three types of remote buttons:
- 2-pin buttons
- 4-pin buttons
- 5-pin buttons
Soldering instructions:
- 4-pin and 5-pin buttons:
No polarity; solder diagonally.
- 2-pin buttons:
No polarity; solder each pin separately.
Important: Do not reverse the power connections of the remote control.


3. Power Supply Options
Power can be supplied via the OBD port, or
Through a 12V constant power source from the vehicle.
4. Key / Remote Matching and Clearing
Matching Procedure:
- Press the SET button on the host box (located in the side hole).
- The buzzer will beep twice, indicating entry into matching mode.
- Press and hold any button on the new remote until the buzzer beeps continuously.
- The remote matching process is complete.
- Repeat the steps above to add additional remotes.
Notes:
- A maximum of six remotes can be matched to one host box.
- If more than six remotes are added, matching will fail.
- In matching mode, if no remote is detected within 10 seconds, the buzzer will beep once and the system will automatically exit matching mode and return to normal operation.
