ACDP CAS Module vs Traditional Methods – CAS4 Data Read/Write
Traditional Method (Other Devices) — Soldering Required
Conventional tools rely on one or more of the following invasive procedures to read and write CAS4 data:
- Line Cutting
Two PCB lines must be cut before reading or writing data, then soldered back once the operation is complete. Line cutting carries a real risk of permanent module damage.

Component Removal
Four components must be desoldered from the board before the operation and soldered back afterward. This is a lengthy, complex process with significant room for error.

Pin Lifting
Chip pins must be lifted for wiring, then soldered back after the operation. Chip pins are fragile and break easily during lifting, making this one of the riskiest steps in the traditional workflow.

Disadvantages of the Traditional Method
- Soldering is required throughout — a complex, time-consuming process that demands technical skill
- Line cutting, pin lifting, and component removal all introduce a real risk of permanent module damage
- Manual soldering is inherently unreliable — any faulty solder joint can result in data loss or board failure
With Yanhua ACDP Module 1 — No Soldering, No Risk
The ACDP interface board connects directly to the CAS4 module without any line cutting, pin lifting, component removal, or soldering — eliminating all risks associated with the traditional method and completing the operation in a fraction of the time.
ACDP CAS Module – ICP Data Read/Write Advantages
- Dedicated interface board replaces soldering entirely, making the operation simpler and more efficient
- No line cutting, no pin lifting, no component removal, and no soldering required
- Intelligent pin detection ensures safe and reliable data reading and writing throughout every operation

Important Note on CAS1 & CAS2 Interface Boards
Since CAS1 and CAS2 key matching can be performed directly via OBD, the CAS1 and CAS2 interface boards are not included in the standard CAS Module package. These boards are available as a separate purchase and are only required if you need to read data independently or perform mileage correction on CAS1 or CAS2 modules.
