2023 OBDStar CAN Direct Toyota-24 Toyota 24 Cable Used with X300 DP PLUS/ X300 PRO4/ X300 DP

The OBDSTAR CAN Direct Toyota-24 Cable is designed for use with X300 DP PLUS, X300 PRO4, and X300 DP to program proximity keys for VELLFIRE 8A-A9, ALPHARD 8A-A9, PRADO 8A-A8, LAND CRUISER 8A-A8, CROWN 8A-A8, and HIGHLANDER 8A-A8, enabling all keys lost bypass without requiring security code entry.

Two different cable versions are available: Toyota 24 and Toyota 27. The Toyota 24 cable is intended for Corolla 4A models, while the Toyota 27 cable supports 4A, 8A-A9, and 8A-AA Toyota vehicles.

These cables can be used with X300 DP PLUS /X300 PRO4 to program Toyota 4A and 8A proximity smart keys.

The only difference between the two cables is the pin location of the red power wire. In the Corolla 4A cable, it is placed in a different cavity compared to the Toyota 27 cable.

You can convert a Corolla 4A cable into a Toyota 27 cable by simply adding the red power wire to the correct pin on the connector. Once modified, it will work across all compatible Toyota models.

If you have purchased a Toyota bypass cable from other sources such as ASK or UHS, it typically comes as a Corolla 4A cable, not the Toyota 27 version. Adding the red power wire to the appropriate cavity will resolve the issue.

TOYOTA-27, replaced COROLLA 4A in CAN DIRECT KIT, is the upgraded version of COROLLA 4A.

1.Remove the heat shrink tube part as pic below from COROLLA 4A

2.Break the insulation of the red wire harness (power wire) and find matched DuPont line (female).

3.Connect the DuPont line (female) to the point of the red wire harness (power cable) as pic below

4.Insert the DuPont cable into the No. 4 hole as pic below and protect it with insulating tape to avoid short circuit.
