Autel PowerScan PS100 Work Modes

The PS100 features four diagnostic modes accessible by pressing the Mode button and cycling through each option.

DC Voltage Mode Contact the probe tip to a circuit to read DC voltage on the LCD display with a resolution of 0.1V.

AC Voltage Mode Contact the probe tip to a circuit to read maximum voltage, minimum voltage, frequency, and duty cycle on the LCD display.

Resistance Mode Contact the probe tip to a circuit to read the resistance between the probe tip and the auxiliary ground lead on the LCD display.

Tone On / Off Mode Press the Mode button briefly to toggle the audio tone on or off. A short high beep confirms the tone is turned on — a short low beep confirms it is turned off.

The audio tone feature is especially useful in bright environments where LED illumination alone is insufficient for clear visual feedback. The tone can be disabled when needed — such as when the tool remains connected to a circuit for an extended period and continuous audio would be disruptive.

Measurement Examples

• Resistance Measurement — Using the extra ground cable, resistance across plugs and switches can be measured accurately

• Component Testing — Using the +/- button, components can be tested by applying direct voltage

• Circuit Test (Plus Switched) 

Directly applying voltage to a trailer plug allows the complete circuit to be tested

• Circuit Test (Ground Switched) 

Components connected to ground, such as a horn, can be easily tested by grounding through the tester
