1. Full System Comprehensive Diagnostics

The DS808 provides complete system diagnostics across all vehicle control modules — retrieving fault codes, freeze frame data, and live data for engine, transmission, ABS, and additional systems in a clear and accessible format.

• ECU Information — Retrieves and displays control unit details including type, version numbers, and specifications
• Trouble Codes — Reads and erases DTC records and related data from the vehicle ECU with detailed code descriptions
• Freeze Frame — Displays freeze frame data captured at the moment a DTC was triggered
• Live Data — Retrieves and displays real-time parameters from the vehicle ECU for monitoring and analysis
• Active Test — Sends commands to the ECU to drive actuators and verify system or component integrity by monitoring ECU data or actuator operation — such as switching an injector between two operating states. Available tests vary by vehicle manufacturer, year, and model, and may appear as Actuators, Actuator Test, or Function Tests depending on the vehicle

2. Bi-Directional Control / Active Test

The DS808 shares the same bi-directional control and active test capabilities as the Autel MS906 and MP808K. This function accesses vehicle-specific subsystem and component tests, verifying system and component integrity by reading engine ECU data or monitoring actuator operations — such as switching a solenoid, relay, or switch between two operating states.

How to Register the Autel MaxiDAS DS808

1. Visit the Autel Pro website at pro.autel.com
2. Enter your account ID and login details on the Sign In page — if you already have an existing account
3. If you are a new Autel user, click the Create Autel ID button on the left side of the page
4. Complete all required fields, read and agree to Autel's Terms and Conditions, then click Create Autel ID to proceed
5. A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address — validate your account by clicking the link provided, which will open the product registration screen
6. Locate the scanner serial number and password in the About section under Settings on the display tablet
7. Select your DS808 product model, enter the serial number and password on the Product Registration screen, and click Submit to complete registration

How to Update Autel DS808 Software

1. Ensure the display tablet is connected to a stable power source and active internet connection
2. Tap the Update application button from the MaxiDAS Job Menu, tap the update notification when received, or tap the Update icon on the Vehicle Menu in the Diagnostics application to open the Update screen
3. Review all available updates — tap Update All to install everything at once, or tap the Update button next to individual items to update selectively
4. Tap Pause to suspend the update at any time — tap Continue to resume from where it was paused
5. Once the update is complete, the firmware will install automatically and replace the previous version
