CGDI MB Benz EIS ELV Testing Platform Instrument Emulator

The “CGDI MB Benz EIS ELV Testing Platform Instrument Emulator” is a bench-emulator / test platform designed to simulate the ignition / steering-lock (EIS / ELV / ESL) environment of many Mercedes‑Benz cars — allowing key programming, diagnostics or EIS/ELV module testing outside of the actual vehicle. 

Functions:

The emulator supports:

• EIS testing without actual ELV installed.
• Simulating ("emulating") the ELV/steering-lock function — in effect replacing the physical ELV/ESL so that EIS/key tests or key-learning can be done on the bench. 
• Reading, writing, and collecting EIS data, monitoring EIS/ELV status (e.g. via CAN or K-line), and supporting various connector/adaptor cables for different Mercedes models.
• It works with most mainstream MB-programming tools (including CGDI’s own key-programmers) and supports roughly “99% of Mercedes-Benz EIS / locks” on cars.

Types of vehicles & EIS/ELV modules are supported

The emulator covers a very broad range of Mercedes-Benz chassis / EIS/ELV types — including many common W-series and older/newer models. Among supported models are (but are not limited to):

• W204, W207, W212 — EIS access (and ELV access for some series) 
• W216, W221, W164 — EIS access
• W166, W246; W202, W208, W210; W215, W220, W230; W203, W463, W639; W209, W211, W169.
• Both older “K-line” type EIS systems and newer “CAN-line” systems are handled (depending on model).
