TMPro 2 Original Transponder Key Programmer, Transponder Key Copier and PIN Code Calculator – Basic without Software

TMPro 2 (also known as TMPro Keymaker or TMPro2 Keymaker) is a programmer and software suite for transponder key making, transponder key programming, transponder key copying, and PIN code/security code calculating. The programmer connects via USB and requires no external power supply.

TMPro 2 Details

  • Main software interface supports 14 languages: Bulgarian, English, French, Portuguese, Polish, Hungarian, Spanish, Serbian, Italian, Czech, Chinese, Greek, Turkish, and Romanian
  • Programmer and all software are auto-updateable to the latest version available on the server
  • TMPro is organized as modular software — the programmer can be purchased on its own and used with the main software, with additional software modules added later via a simple purchasing system as jobs require them

Working with TMPro2

TMPro2 works with immobilizer EEPROM dumps and requires electronic knowledge plus soldering/desoldering tools and memory device programmers. The general workflow:

  1. Remove the immobox/BSI/UCH unit from the vehicle and open it
  2. Desolder the memory device or solder wires onto test points, then read it (memory device type varies by vehicle — serial EEPROM, Motorola MCU, Microchip PIC MCU, ST10F269 MCU, Texas Instruments MCU, etc.)
  3. Program the transponder
  4. Solder the memory device back, reassemble the immobox/BSI/UCH, and refit it to the vehicle

Some units are easy to access, while others require cutting a hole or removing silicone sealant to reach the memory device. Technicians should know which unit in the vehicle contains the key data and its location.

TMPro 2 Reading/Writing Memory Devices

Once the memory device type is identified, the method for reading and writing it depends on the specific software:

  • 70% of software titles — reading and writing can be done either by TMPro2 or by another programmer
  • 5% of software titles — reading and writing is mandatory to be done with TMPro2
  • 25% of software titles — reading and writing must be done using another programmer

TMPro 2 Memory Device Types and Connection Methods

The memory device depends on the unit that contains the key data:

Memory Device Type Connection Method
Serial EEPROM (93cXX, 24cXX, 25/95cXXX, X5328, S29190, X24c01, 95p08) Desolder from board and solder onto the TMPro2 EEPROM adapter, which has sockets for DIL, SMD, and SSOP types
Motorola 912/9S12 (not locked), ST10F269, or Moric Use a cable with 8 stripped wires, soldered per the connection diagram for the specific software
Motorola HC805P18 Desolder the MCU from the immobox and solder it onto the TMPro2 Motorola HC805P18 adapter
Microchip PIC Use the TMPro2 PIC adapter, soldering wires per the connection diagram for the specific software
Motorola HC05/HC908/HC11, Motorola 9S12 (locked), flash chip, TMS370C702 Must be read/written using another programmer

A cable for adapters is required to connect the above adapters to the TMPro2 box.

Included in the Basic Set

  • Microchip PIC adapter
  • EEPROM adapter
  • Cable with 8 stripped wires
  • Cable for adapters

Note: The Motorola HC805P18 adapter is not included in the basic set — it can be purchased alongside the basic set or separately at a later time.

Reading and Saving Data

Once all connections are made, press the "Select and read memory device" button, choose the correct memory device, and press OK to begin reading. The read file can optionally be saved for archiving.

If a different programmer is used to read/write the memory device, the saved file can be loaded into TMPro2 via the "Open file" button.

TMPro 2 Vehicle List / Software Coverage

  • Range Rover and Land Rover (2001–2010)
TMPro is the first tool in the world able to make a key for Range Rover Sport and Land Rover LR3 with PIC18F6620 in the BCM, and the first able to make a key for Land Rover with SAWDOC immobiliser using PIC18F252. Using software modules 40, 174, 180, 181, and 199, a transponder can be programmed ready to start the car. For Range Rover Sport or Land Rover LR3, the remote part of the key is also programmed and functional.
  • Fiat / Lancia / Peugeot / Alfa Romeo / Citroen CODE2 Cars
Covers all vehicles from 1999 to present using precoded-by-chassis-number keys with ID44 (PCF7935), ID48 (Megamos Crypto), and ID46 (PCF7936/PCF7946) — no need to order keys from the dealer. Using software modules 6, 7, 8, 9, 45, 48, 59, 100, 112, 118, 175, and 194, a chip can be prepared ready-programmed to start the car; these modules also display the PIN code for OBD2 key programming. The remote part for keys using PCF7946 is also programmed and functional.
  • Porsche (1997–2005) with PAS Alarm Unit Using ID13 or ID48
Using software modules 54 or 165, lost-key or spare-key situations can be resolved quickly, requiring only the PAS Alarm unit — the car does not need to be in the workshop.
  • Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, Peugeot, and Citroen
Uses 4C, 4D-60, 4D-67, 4D-68, 4D-70, 6D-72, and 128-bit AES chips — no need to wait for immobox/ECU resetting or use expensive dealer keys. Using software modules 52, 83, 87, 92, 153, and 188, a transponder can be programmed ready to start the car.
  • Trucks – Volvo, Mercedes, MAN, Renault, DAF, Scania, Mitsubishi Canter Fuso
    Using software modules 34, 37, 51, 53, 88, 93, 151, and 170, lost-key or spare-key situations can be resolved.
  • Motorbikes and Scooters
    Covers BMW, Ducati, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Gilera, KTM, MV Agusta, Peugeot, and Piaggio — the broadest motorbike key-making coverage of any tool available. Using software modules 25, 33, 58, 66, 67, 68, 90, 96, 97, 98, 101, 108, 109, 128, 129, 131, 168, 171, 177, 178, 182, 183, 186, 189, 191, 193, 196, 197, 198, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207, and 208 (35 modules total), lost-key or spare-key situations can be resolved. Keyless-model software is available for BMW, Ducati, Kawasaki, and KTM — TMPro is the only tool in the world able to make a key for keyless BMW motorbikes.
  • Key Copying Software
    Supports copying of fixed ID11, ID12, ID13, ID33, ID4C, and crypto ID41, ID42, ID44 VAG, ID45, ID46, ID4D, ID8C, and ID48 (Kia and Daewoo) key types.
