GODIAG CAS2/CAS3 SER Semi-Smart IMMO Test Platform

The GODIAG CAS2 / CAS3 SER Semi-Smart Test Platform is a dedicated programming and verification tool developed specifically for BMW locksmiths, maintenance engineers, and CAS2 / CAS3 / CAS3+ / CAS3++ programming specialists. It is compatible with a wide range of key programming devices, including Xhorse Key Tool Plus, Xhorse VVDI2, BMW VVDI BIM Tool, CGDI BMW, Lonsdor, and OBDSTAR devices — supporting both all-keys-lost and key addition procedures. The platform is designed for use with magnetic semi-smart and smart keys.

Important Notes:

• The GODIAG CAS2 / CAS3 SER Semi-Smart Test Platform does not support mechanical key CAS2 systems and is not compatible with diagnostic equipment or the GT100 / GT100+ test platforms. It is also not compatible with Autel devices.
• For Autel, Lonsdor, and OBDSTAR devices: OBD2 bench method data reading and writing is not supported, as these devices are unable to perform independent 100Kbps CAN bus communication with the BMW IMMO module. When using these devices, the CAS2 semi-smart or CAS3 / CAS3+ data must be read via a programmer, key matching performed separately, and the GODIAG CAS2 / CAS3 SER platform used afterwards to verify synchronization between the IMMO module and the programmed key. This verification step confirms successful key matching and helps prevent vehicle start failure caused by incomplete programming.

Module & Key Synchronization Detection

Verifies whether the CAS2 / CAS3 / CAS3+ / CAS3++ module and the corresponding magnetic semi-smart key are correctly synchronized and communicating as expected.

Step 1: Connect the CAS2 / CAS3 / CAS3+ / CAS3++ module to the platform following the provided connection diagram.

Step 2: Place the key into the designated key sensing area on the platform.

Step 3: Connect the power supply. The power indicator light will illuminate, the start/stop button light will activate, and the coil sensor light will begin flashing — confirming that the module is transmitting the key sensing signal correctly.

• Regular or steady flashing – The key and module are synchronised.
• Irregular flashing that stops after one minute – The key and module are out of sync.

Step 4: Press the start switch to initiate the synchronisation check.

• IMMO synchronisation indicator lights up + internal buzzer sounds – The key is successfully synchronised with the CAS module.
• IMMO synchronisation indicator does not light up + no buzzer sound – The key is not synchronised with the CAS module.

Step 5: Press the analog start/stop button. The IMMO synchronisation indicator light will turn off after 3 seconds. Press the analog start/stop button again to reactivate the indicator light and repeat the verification.

Key Programming with Xhorse VVDI2 – BMW CAS2 / CAS3 / CAS3+ / CAS3++ Semi-Smart Key Programming

1. Connect the CAS2 / CAS3 / CAS3+ / CAS3++ module to the Xhorse VVDI2 key programming device following the provided connection diagram.
2. On the VVDI2, navigate to: Key Learn → CAS Key Learn → Connect
   
   
3. Once the CAS module information has been successfully identified, select "Get Key Info" followed by "Save Key Info" to store the key data.
   
4.  Select an available unused key position, then navigate to "Prepare Dealer Key with Programmer". Use the VVDI2 programmer to generate the new dealer key.
   ⚠️ Important: Do not place the key in the GODIAG CAS2 / CAS3 SER Semi-Smart Test Platform key sensing area during this step, as doing so will prevent the dealer key from being generated successfully.
   
   
   
5. Once the dealer key has been programmed, place it into the GODIAG CAS2 / CAS3 SER Semi-Smart Test Platform induction port to verify synchronisation. For detailed testing steps, refer to the "Module and Key Synchronisation Detection" section.
   If the IMMO indicator light fails to illuminate, access the VVDI2 menu and navigate to: Key Learn → CAS/EWS Information → Connect → Synch DME-CAS or Synch CAS-ELV to complete the synchronisation process.
   ⚠️ Important: During the synchronisation procedure, the key must be placed in the VVDI2 device's key sensing area — not in the GODIAG platform.
