Vehicle Connection Test – Wire Connection

1. Turn on the AutoProPad Basic tablet
2. Connect the cable and vehicle in the following order: 1 - 1 - 1 - 8 - 1 - 4
3. Switch on the ignition and tap on the AutoProPad Basic application to test the vehicle

Precautions Before Use

• Ensure the vehicle's power supply voltage is within the normal operating range of DC 9–15V
• Before attempting to communicate with the vehicle, check the location of the DLC port and confirm the OBDII 16-pin connector is securely and properly connected
• When performing special function tests, carefully follow the operating instructions — each vehicle model may have specific requirements (for example, some vehicles require engine temperature between 80°C and 105°C, all electrical loads such as headlights and air conditioner turned off, and the accelerator pedal fully released)
• If the tested vehicle model or electronic control system cannot be found in the AutoProPAD Basic test menu, update the software or contact XTOOL Technical Support for assistance
• Use only approved XTOOL cables and connectors to prevent possible damage to the device
• Before powering off the unit, cancel or complete the current task, return to the main interface, then shut down the device properly
• Do not apply excessive force when operating the touchscreen
• If the device will not be used for an extended period, disconnect it from the power source and turn it off

Key Programming and Special Functions

After the AutoProPAD Basic main unit is connected to the vehicle via the main test cable, immobilization can be performed. Besides key programming, AutoProPAD Basic also supports special diagnostic functions for certain vehicles:
